Yes. Tarrant County runs its own dedicated Area Agency on Aging through United Way of Tarrant County, separate from the 16-county North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) region that covers Parker, Johnson, Denton, Wise and the rest of the outlying metro.
How this actually works
This is a genuine, non-obvious quirk of how this metro is administratively organized, and it trips up families who assume one regional agency covers the whole Dallas-Fort Worth area the way some other metros are structured. If you live in Fort Worth, Arlington, Keller, Southlake, Grapevine, Bedford, Hurst, Euless, Colleyville, Watauga, Haltom City or Mansfield, your Area Agency on Aging is the Tarrant County program at 817-258-8000. If you live in Burleson (Johnson County) or anywhere in Parker, Denton or Wise County, you're covered by NCTCOG's Area Agency on Aging instead, reachable at 800-272-3921. Calling the wrong one first isn't a disaster -- they can redirect you -- but knowing which applies saves a step.
