This distinction matters more than most families realize when comparing two Fort Worth communities that look similar on a tour. A Type A building may not be equipped, staffed or licensed to keep a resident whose needs progress past what that license allows -- which can force a second move at exactly the moment a family is least prepared for one. Ask directly what happens if your parent's needs exceed the building's current license type, and whether the same operator has a Type B option nearby that could absorb the transition without a full relocation. Some Fort Worth campuses, particularly larger continuum communities in the Alliance and Chisholm Trail growth corridors, deliberately hold both license types on one site for exactly this reason.
